The Regional Sales Director is responsible for leading a high-performing sales team to achieve or exceed sales objectives across public and private schools in North America. This role focuses on driving new business, expanding existing relationships, and ensuring strong renewal and retention outcomes. The Regional Sales Director will play a key role in developing territory strategies, coaching team members, and aligning sales efforts with broader organizational goals.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead and develop a regional sales team through structured coaching, performance reviews, and adherence to a documented sales process.
- Build deep expertise in LWT's products, curricula, services, and materials to effectively support and guide the team.
- Oversee the creation and execution of territory sales plans that align with monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Collaborate with national sales leadership to shape and drive regional strategies that support company-wide goals.
- Set clear expectations for individual and team performance, including pipeline development, activity tracking, and goal attainment.
- Drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition, expansion of existing accounts, and strategic upgrades to district-wide programs.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities or risks across territories to inform strategy.
- Partner with Marketing to align campaigns with sales initiatives for retention, growth, and new business development.
- Ensure accurate and timely CRM documentation to support forecasting and performance tracking.
- Analyze sales metrics and pipeline health to guide team performance and territory development.
- Take proactive action to address performance gaps and optimize team effectiveness.
- Recruit, onboard, and manage regional sales talent, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration to maximize team impact.
- Stay current on sales techniques and industry developments through research and professional development.
- Lead regular sales meetings, trainings, and performance reviews.
Your Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience, including selling both physical and digital products to education, business, or government sectors.
- 4+ years of experience in new business development and account expansion.
- Background in education or technology-based solutions preferred.
- Proven success in exceeding individual and team quotas.
- Experience managing large territories and prioritizing high-impact activities.
- Strong prospecting skills and ability to build and manage a balanced pipeline.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales talent.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM platforms.
- Service-oriented approach with a focus on customer success.
- Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
