✨ About The Role
- The SME / Sales and Support Specialist is responsible for revenue and profit generation, focusing on meeting or exceeding sales and corporate objectives.
- This role involves targeting large opportunities and global multi-site organizations for the sales of Cell Biology/Research Products.
- Key responsibilities include developing value proposition models, managing the sales process, and qualifying, demoing, quoting, and closing on instrument/reagent opportunities.
- The specialist will assist in launching new products and collaborate with marketing and R&D to ensure products meet customer needs.
- Maintaining a CRM database and providing timely and accurate reports on forecasts, sales, and market activity is also required.
âš¡ Requirements
- A PhD is preferred, but a M.S. or B.S. in Life Sciences with an emphasis in cell biology, molecular biology, microbiology, or biochemistry is acceptable.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of field sales experience, particularly in selling mid to high-cost capital equipment and associated consumables.
- A solid understanding of quality systems and the issues related to the installation and validation of new systems or instrumentation is essential.
- Experience in launching new products and coaching or mentoring sales personnel is desirable.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and maintaining a CRM database, are necessary for success in this role.
