Sales Specialists at Lowe's are very active, moving throughout the store or garden center, answering phones, and talking to customers. As a Sales Specialist, you'll spend most of your time communicating with customers – discussing project needs, answering questions, and helping them accomplish their home improvement goals. You will become the product expert, informing customers of specifications, features, promotions, and financing options to close a sale. Your exceptional consulting services help ensure that customer needs are met before leaving the store. You will be working in one of the following departments, based on hiring needs and skillsets: Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Fashion Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls.
Key responsibilities include providing customer service, serving as a point of contact for customers and vendors, monitoring inventory levels, performing price reviews, supporting checkout functions, and training associates. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, experience in customer-facing sales or retail, and the ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic. Preferred qualifications include experience in completing customer sales orders, promoting product-related services, designing customized products, professional certification, and bi-lingual skills.
