• You take over the processing of requests, offers, contracts, and possible negotiations as well as task distribution within the team
• Operational and administrative leadership of the Convention Sales department
• You are responsible for the efficient distribution of event spaces and ensuring the maximum utilization of the hotel's capacity - here you will closely coordinate with the sales and revenue teams
• Ensuring smooth event planning, execution, and preparation
• You oversee the booking situation and check it for correctness
• Continuous optimization of sales processes and the resulting sales results
• You have budget responsibility (including creation and achievement) for the event area and
• You create handovers to the operational departments and check invoices
• You enjoy presenting our beautiful hotel - house tours are part of your tasks
• You also appreciate close customer contact
• Communication and cooperation with other departments are enjoyable for you, and you ensure that every event runs flawlessly
• You are open to interesting projects and new customers, products, and external services
• You create statistics for the continuous monitoring and analysis of all sales activities and report them to all departments or partners
• You enjoy working on various projects
• Guest and customer satisfaction are at the top of your priority list
• Writing service and vacation schedules for your department does not give you headaches
• You participate in interviews to find new talent
• The development of your employees and trainees is important to you; you conduct reviews and create realistic development plans for your team
• It motivates you to work with sales targets and achieve the predetermined budget

Show Us Your Talents!

• Completed training in the field of hotel/restaurant business or a specialist in the hospitality industry
• Alternatively, a degree in hotel/tourism or event management
• Proven experience in convention sales, preferably in a hotel of comparable size (events from 1,000 people) and in leading a team
• You know the Berlin market like the back of your hand
• Marriott experience through a previous or current job is a great extra
• Warm, authentic, and sociable personality
• Inspiring communication and expressive skills in German and English; any additional language is a plus
• Flexible availability and impressive quality consciousness
• Organized and structured working style with an eye for detail
• You are eager to explore new things and go innovative ways
• Enthusiasm and enjoyment in dealing with people and cultures
• Enjoy goal-oriented communication, both internally and externally
• Strong organizational talent and a great interest in teamwork
