Representative - sales
Position Summary
Promote awareness of the brand image both internally and externally. Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining current guest loyalty to Marriott. Recognize opportunities to upsell products and services to guests in order to create enhanced experiences or events at Marriott. Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders). Serve as the main point of contact for clients and communicate with them via phone and email to address inquiries and requests.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, ensure that uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address their service needs and express genuine appreciation. Communicate with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using the appropriate etiquette.
Foster and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team to achieve common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Technical or university bachelor's degree in Hotel and Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
