Identify and qualify prospective clients through sales calls, lead follow-up, and online bid invitations. Assess customer needs and develop tailored solutions, including value engineering and conceptual design proposals. Consistently meet or exceed individual sales goals as outlined in the compensation plan. Review sprinkler system drawings and perform accurate material and labor take-offs to determine project costs. Prepare detailed estimates for small to mid-size fixed-price installation projects ranging from $10,000 to $250,000. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, general contractors, and building owners. Proactively cultivate new business opportunities and partnerships to expand fire protection services. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable fire protection codes and standards.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in fire protection design and project management, from initiation through project closeout. Proficiency in layout, takeoffs, and fabrication listings for contract sales proposals. Experience with design or CAD software preferred. Previous contract sales experience in ground-up installations, retrofits, or large-scale repairs is highly desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend). Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and contractor coordination.
