Director, Sales Excellence

We're looking for a strategic, results-driven leader to elevate the sales experience and drive operational excellence across our global sales organization. This role is accountable for identifying, designing, and executing solutions that streamline processes, optimize performance, and empower sales teams to exceed revenue targets. You will combine analytical rigor with creativity, project management excellence, and cross-functional influence to deliver measurable business impact.

Role

Own and evolve global Sales Excellence solutions, ensuring sales teams have the tools, processes, and insights to achieve long-term revenue goals across all sales verticals. Serve as the primary point of contact for managed solutions, driving execution, monitoring impact, and continuously optimizing outcomes. Lead end-to-end projects: identify opportunities, develop business cases, implement solutions, and manage change, training, and communication globally. Innovate and generate new ideas that enhance the sales experience and drive measurable business results. Partner with M&A Integration and cross-functional teams to deploy global sales integration frameworks for newly acquired companies. Manage key account processes, including the annual Priority Account initiative, in partnership with Learning & Development, driving continuous improvement. Capture and share best practices and case studies across regions to ensure scalable, repeatable success. Support SVP in delivering Sales Excellence capabilities in North America. Build strong relationships with cross-functional leaders including Product, Services, Marketing, L&D, HR, Technology, and Finance to ensure seamless solution delivery.

All About You

Proven sales experience with a track record of leading transformational initiatives that improved the sales experience. Strong analytical mindset with experience managing the financials of new and existing solutions. Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to lead complex, multi-regional initiatives. Excellent presentation and communication skills—able to simplify complex concepts for senior leadership. Innovative thinker with a demonstrated ability to design and implement impactful solutions. Credible cross-functional partner, skilled at influencing sales, data & analytics, product, finance, and emerging technology teams. Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with a deep understanding of the sales professional's perspective. Knowledge of payments business preferred. Regional and cultural sensitivity to effectively operate across diverse markets. Bachelors degree required, MBA degree preferred.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
