Sales Representative in Cataluña, Spain

In this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible to maintain and develop the Cardiac Surgery business with existing and new customers in line with the business guidelines and business strategies for your sales territory while meeting the financial and non-financial targets. You will also collect market intelligence data, follow, report and advise on the strategies. For this remote position, you will be in charge of Cataluña, Zaragoza and Islas Baleares, and you will be preferably located in Barcelona.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Maximize sales performance by executing the full sales cycle—from product introduction and presentations to contract negotiation in alignment with the sales strategy, including identification, preparation, and execution of upcoming tenders
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong and lasting business relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and key decision-makers influencing purchasing decisions; regularly report those activities through designated systems and to the Sales manager
  • Partner closely with KOLs to ensure deep understanding of our products and support initiatives that enhance product awareness, engagement, and visibility within the company
  • Analyse the market in your corresponding region to develop and execute effective account sales strategies and plan sales coverage/resources in the most efficient and economical manner in collaboration with the regional Sales manager
  • Increase penetration within existing accounts, drive their adoption of new therapies and product solutions and convert non-buying accounts
  • Deliver product training, education, and technical support to customers and relevant hospital staff; provide clinical support during procedures as required
  • Continuously maintaining up-to-date knowledge of products, technologies, market dynamics, and sales processes
  • Ensure proper control of consignment and all other stock levels according to asset management guidelines and targets

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or University degree in life sciences, biomedical engineering, engineering, or a related healthcare field (e.g., nursing, clinical technician)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the medical device industry; sales experience preferred but it is not a limitation
  • Experience in cardiac surgery and/or cardiology is highly desirable, along with broader healthcare or hospital-based experience
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken), with a good level of Catalan
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; valid driver's license and willingness to travel
  • Willingness and ability to work in operating rooms and hospital environments, providing expert technical and clinical support as required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, motivation to build robust business relationships; demonstrates teamwork, autonomy, flexibility, proactivity, organization, and a results-driven mindset
  • Willingness to work and provide expert technical support in the operating room and in the hospitals
