We are looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to support our U.S. Freight operations. This role is well-suited for a financial analysis candidate who enjoys driving clarity and structuring financial planning and drivers of freight costs. The role offers opportunities to shape future financial processes and contribute to strategic savings initiatives. You'll be part of the Global Distribution Finance CoE which is a global team with team members in US, Europe and APAC.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting
Drive the U.S. Freight financial forecast process, including driver analysis.
Collaborate with leadership to refine forecast methodology and improve accuracy over time.
Reporting & Month End Closing
Leverage Transportation Management System (TMS) to support cost tracking and allocation logic.
Partner with transport teams to review and further improve Freight accrual quality and accuracy, minimizing financial risks.
Project & Initiative Support
Contribute to savings measurements and help bring structure to project ownership.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency across U.S. operations Freight.
Collaboration
Work closely with finance partners, transport teams
Engage with operating units to enhance forecast granularity and financial ownership
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. Β§ 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
Nice to Have
Minimum of 6+ years of professional finance experience, preferably in an international environment and comfortable with working in cross-functional, remote teams
Willing to take a hands-on approach with high learning agility
Able to handle complex structures and high amounts of data, with commitment to accuracy
Fully proficient in Excel, able to restructure financial driver calculation models
Strong understanding of cost allocation, forecasting, and accrual processes.
Familiarity with TMS platforms and ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $85,600.00 - $128,400.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others)
