We assist in the implementation of new scientific findings and promote further education and networking in the field. We work cross-functionally, data-driven, and consistently customer-oriented.

As a Sales Director Cardio, you are responsible for the sales strategy and its operational implementation in the cardio field. You are professionally and disciplinarily responsible for the performance management of regional sales activities and directly lead 2 regional managers cardio, who are responsible for the regional implementation in their areas. You define the strategic direction for cardiologists, lipidologists, and (outpatient) clinics, ensure the derivation of concrete regional concepts, and ensure that these are implemented in line with the company strategy. Through your strategic, entrepreneurial thinking and actions, you are an initiator and sparring partner for the regional managers and the regional sales teams. You are responsible for national resource and performance management as well as for recruiting leadership in the Cardio Sales Force.

You work closely cross-functionally with the GP Sales Manager, Marketing, Medical, and the head of the medical-scientific field service and report to the Head of Sales & Omnichannel Customer Engagement. Additionally, you support the conception and strategic management of medical events and have a strong focus on supra-regional scientific leader management. You act as a central networker between specialists, clinics, and general practitioners and are responsible for the coordinated approach to these target groups.

In this role, you significantly contribute to the further development of a future-oriented, agile work culture and optimized patient care and prevention.

For our team, we are looking for a motivated, strategically thinking, and leadership-strong personality as a Sales Manager Cardio (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date.

Your Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the development and implementation of the sales strategy in the cardio field with a focus on cardiologists, lipidologists, and (outpatient) clinics
  • Building, recruiting, and strategic planning of national resources for the Cardio Sales Force, including the selection of suitable leadership and onboarding of regional managers cardio
  • Analysis of market and competitor data. Derivation of the national sales strategy and framework conditions for regional strategies and omnichannel concepts to achieve goals
  • Performance and result responsibility at the national level. Setting strategic and operational priorities and corresponding strategic resource planning
  • Responsibility for the development and implementation of customer-centered customer journeys across all available channels (online and offline). Management of implementation in the regions in coordination with the regional managers
  • Result-oriented, disciplinary, and professional leadership, coaching, and development of the regional managers cardio. Consistent further development of the entire Cardio Sales Force towards scientific, medical competence, and sales excellence to maximize customer benefit
  • Overarching management of scientific leader management: identification, prioritization, and building and maintaining intensive relationships with scientific leaders. Regular involvement of scientific leaders in national and regional activities (e.g., medical training)
  • Conception and strategic planning of scientific training concepts
  • Strategic management of the identification, building, and maintenance of networks between specialists, clinics, and general practitioners. Coordination of regional network activities
  • Performance management of the Cardio Sales Force using appropriate KPIs and continuous optimization through management of the regional managers (1:1s, accompanying visits, team meetings, performance reviews)
  • (Further) development of a positive, constructive, and innovation-promoting team and leadership culture
  • Close, strategic collaboration with the GP Sales Manager, Marketing, Medical, and the head of the medical-scientific field service for coordinated customer support

Your Reporting Line

  • You report to the BUD Vaccines & Primary Care

Your Profile:

  • You place the needs of patients and customers at the center of all activities and decisions
  • Completed degree in natural or economic sciences or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a sales leadership role with responsibility for strategy and implementation โ€“ ideally in the field of cardiology or another specialist area
  • Strong focus on sales excellence, performance optimization, and maximizing the success of the entire Cardio Sales Force
  • In-depth knowledge in cardiology or another specialist area, very good ability to understand and interpret scientific studies and data
  • Experience in building and recruiting sales teams
  • Proven, in-depth experience in managing scientific leader management
  • Strong networking skills and experience in strategic management and building networks between specialists, clinics, and general practitioners
  • High competence in dealing with digital media. Very good understanding of an omnichannel sales approach and data-driven work. Very high motivation to implement these topics in the Cardio Sales Force
  • Strong strategic and entrepreneurial thinking and actions. High self-motivation and determination to consistently pursue set goals. Hands-on mentality
  • High innovation and the ability to inspire others for the development and piloting of new approaches to increase customer benefit
  • Strong communication skills, convincing and motivating demeanor, and very good presentation skills
  • Familiarity with legal requirements such as ยง 75 AMG and compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical field
  • Very good German and good English skills in spoken and written form
  • High willingness to travel nationally, occasionally internationally
