Manager / Senior Manager, Sales Operation Analytics
Reporting to: Associate Director, Sales Operation Excellence Lead Location: Shanghai Department: BE BP&I
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Manager / Senior Manager to drive and enhance key sales operation processes through advanced analytics, impactful communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
This role will play a critical part in driving governance, operational excellence, and business impact across sales operation process, including territory design, target setting, and PEP. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong data analytical acumen, and the ability to deliver meaningful insights and presentations that influence decision-making at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Operation Process and Mechanism Optimization
- Support line manager to optimize sales operation process and set-up health check mechanism
- Perform health checks and diagnostic analyses
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities in TSTD processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with governance frameworks
- Initiate to standardize and scale best practices in sales operation across BUs
- Drive continuous improvement through structured feedback loops and performance reviews
2. Territory Performance Tracking & Ad-Hoc Analysis
- Monitor sales performance against targets and provide actionable insights
- Track hospital and HCP targeting performance to identify trends, uncover gaps, and flag issues requiring actions
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support business questions and operational needs
- Develop and maintain performance tracking tools and templates
- Ensure insights are translated into strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders
3. Project Management & Strategic Communication
- Support BE BP&I key projects progress
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of deliverables
- Translate complex data into clear, compelling visual presentations for communications
- Support materials preparation for internal and cross-functional meetings
- Ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with strategic priorities
- Engage with key stakeholders and communicate action plan for key initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field; Master's degree is a plus
- 5–8 years of experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Excellence, or related analytical roles, preferably in pharmaceutical industry
- Solid understanding of SFE and sales forces performance metrics
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail, proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively across functions
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Experience in leading cross-functional projects and influencing senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to deliver strategic insights and drive business impact through analytics
