Our client is a leading producer of non-ferrous lightweight metals, supplying a broad range of magnesium and aluminum alloys across North America, Europe, and Asia. The company is based west of Chicago and are a multinational company with subsidiaries based globally in Europe and Asia. They have become a trusted partner for nonferrous metals used in the automotive, aerospace, communications, construction, and electronics spaces.
Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the nonferrous metals space, with a focus on aluminum, magnesium, and related alloys.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects through market research, networking, cold outreach, and industry events.
Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and closing.
Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure customer requirements are met and projects are executed successfully.
Develop and expand the customer base for recycled aluminum and magnesium alloys, focusing on small to mid-sized manufacturers.
Sell recycled raw materials (alloys) to new and existing accounts, explaining technical aspects and applications clearly to customers.
Identify new business opportunities, prospect potential clients, and manage a pipeline of growth opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts while pursuing new sales opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams (operations, logistics, and technical specialists) to deliver high-quality service and meet customer needs.
Travel approximately 30% to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events.
Manage select existing accounts, ensuring satisfaction while looking for opportunities to grow business.

3+ years of sales experience in nonferrous metals, raw materials, industrial manufacturing, or related industries.
MUST have experience in non-ferrous metals.
Technical aptitude and ability to explain complex materials and processes in customer-friendly terms.
Strong background in business development with proven ability to acquire new accounts.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Must be based in the Chicago area and within ~30 minutes commute of the office.
Base salary of $110,000 plus commission.
Company-paid travel expenses for client visits.
