Senior Financial Analyst - Sales Operations

General Purpose
The primary focus of the Senior Financial Analyst - Sales Operations role is to enable the sales organization to operate more efficiently and make data-driven decisions that drive revenue growth. This role ensures that sales leaders and teams have accurate, timely, and actionable insights into performance, pipeline, and productivity. By managing data, streamlining processes, and producing strategic analysis, the role acts as the operational backbone of the sales function — bridging strategy, execution, and measurement.
Essential Functions
Data Management & Quality Control
- Build and maintain holistic datasets by cleansing, joining, and transforming raw data.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting systems.
- Design and automate workflows to provide reliable, up-to-date data for business use.
- Define business requirements and partner with digital teams to implement new data processes, tools, and technologies that support the corporate sales strategy.
- Facilitate ETL processes to prepare data for compensation systems and sales reporting.
Sales Reporting & Dashboard Management
- Design, automate, and maintain dashboards that provide actionable insights for company leadership, sales management, and front-line sellers.
- Collaborate with management to deliver strategic guidance and sound business recommendations through analysis, collaboration, and critical thinking.
- Summarize financial and sales performance, identify key performance indicators, and develop action plans to address risks and opportunities.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and analytics for internal and external stakeholders.
Sales Incentive Compensation Support
- Partner with Finance and Sales leadership to set quotas, forecast performance, and project sales incentive payouts.
- Analyze incentive plan effectiveness and recommend adjustments to drive performance.
- Conduct gap analyses to ensure sales leaders and sellers have the insights and tools needed to achieve their goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate across departments to identify and implement continuous process improvements.
- Provide mentoring and support to less experienced team members.
- Serve as a proactive problem solver and advocate for data-driven self-service solutions.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent. MBA preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in professional finance position.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, generate insights, and solve complex problems.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence outcomes.
- Proficiency with automation, ETL, data querying, reporting, and data visualization tools.
- Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience with Tableau or other data visualization platforms required.
- Intermediate to advanced Alteryx experience preferred.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce, Snowflake, and SQL preferred.
