Territory Sales Executive, France & Benelux
The Territory Sales Executive will be responsible for independently managing and developing sales opportunities across France & the Benelux regions in line with agreed territory sales plans. The role-holder will work closely with Architects & Designers, Dealer Partners and the MillerKnoll sales team to support brand presence, provide support and guidance and to identify and drive business opportunities.
The Territory Sales Executive will be a NaughtOne ambassador bringing our products to life through their passion for design coupled with their storytelling ability supporting & influencing product specification activity throughout the sales and project life cycle.
Responsibilities / Key Deliverable
- Develop and manage relationships with existing & prospective clients in line with agreed territory plans, identifying opportunities for growth
- In collaboration with the NaughtOne and MillerKnoll team, deliver year-on-year sales targets
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge to ensure the ability to fully articulate the NaughtOne product portfolio
- Maximise commercial opportunities by maintaining a full understanding of relevant business and design trends, competitor activity and product performance to support sales conversations
- Capture all relevant project information on Salesforce: Client name, project name, dealer/D&B company, designer, timelines and potential value, in line with agreed processes and reporting requirements
- Support the development and execution of account and opportunity plans for core clients, working collaboratively with senior sales colleagues to identify new business opportunities
- Build & support market share growth within the territory through effective opportunity management
- Support and deliver product technical knowledge and training sessions using established materials and messaging
- Attend and participate in trade and industry events to support brand awareness and relationship development
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Successful sales track record typically 2–4 years' experience, preferably within manufacturing or the design sector
- Experience executing sales plans and contributing to agreed sales strategies
- Solid analytical skills in identifying client needs and aligning them to product offerings
- Demonstrated expertise in collaborative sales techniques
- Experience selling to the design community
- Ability to understand market conditions and competitor positioning to inform sales activity
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with clients and customers
- Strong presentation skills to audiences of all sizes
- Numerate with strong attention to detail in the preparation of quotations, forecasts and tenders
- Methodical, hard-working, ambitious and energetic
- Ability to handle objections and minimise confrontation
- Honest, with high levels of integrity
- Results-oriented with a passion for great design
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate succinctly and fluently in both verbal and written forms, with the ability to influence stakeholders at an operational level
Dimension of Role
Based from Paris or a major city in the Benelux region, this role will report to the Business Development Director, EMEA.
You will have ownership and be accountable for managing opportunities through to point of order, operating within agreed parameters and escalation guidelines.
The role will involve frequent travel throughout the sales territory and as such you will need to work flexibly, including early starts, occasional evening events and occasional overnight stays.
