This position reports to: Sales Manager
Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.
The work model for the role is remote (#Li-Remote). Candidate to be located in the Minneapolis market, and will cover the Minnesota trade areas.
As Channel Sales Manager, you will be responsible for meeting/exceeding assigned sales goals and objectives by developing and maintaining strong, productive working relationships with channel partners, electrical contractors, and end users in the Minnesota trade areas. You'll plan and implement sales strategies to maximize market share and margin on stock / flow projects within the commercial construction market and the governmental and industrial markets industries.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Implementing the agreed channel sales strategy within the approved budget.
Creating offers and proposals for channel partners in line with broader sales offers and strategies.
Reporting the progress on channel strategies, plans, and budgets.
Conducting analyses on channel activity and taking ownership for solving any identified problems if they were to arise.
Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related or a minimum of 10 years of sales experience (experience in large commercial construction and industrial projects preferred, especially in the electrical products industry).
Experience working with electrical contractors and channel partners is required.
Extensive experience with electrical contractors, channel partners and regional industry knowledge, including ABB products and customer financial drivers.
Proven sales success, including managing a $3m+ business and understanding a full portfolio of products and services (e.g. power distribution one-line and installation products).
Strong technical and customer-facing capabilities, including application engineering, take-offs, proposal development and rapid responsiveness to customer needs.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
