This position will have you assigned a Sales Territory. Sales Territories are based in the metro area. The impact you will have includes supporting field sales activity and participating in the growth of new enrollment for the consumer markets segment. This position develops and maintains relationships via the telephone, community meetings, and other field-based activities in order to promote and improve the sales of all Blue Cross and ancillary line consumer markets segment products.

Your responsibilities include meeting sales and sales development goals as assigned by management, delivering presentations to groups/individuals to support, educate or enroll into appropriate BCBSMN plans, improving the sale of company products through determining suitability, eligibility and need; explaining benefits for appropriate coverage, responding to questions, supplying relevant marketing material and assisting with the application process. As available, you will be responsible for answering and following up on incoming sales calls and emails from prospective customers generated by marketing campaigns. You will use lead tracking software to manage the prospective enrollee database, initiate sales calls to individuals who have responded to advertising and direct mail campaigns, identify contacts/partnerships for community events and targeted community outreach, remain compliant with all Federal, State, and CMS regulations and laws, and comply with all BCBSMN compliance guidance. You will also meet individually with prospective enrollees upon request, remain knowledgeable of competitor health plans available in our market to be able to effectively position BCBSMN individual consumer products, analyze benefit trends, the effectiveness of marketing materials and advertising campaigns, and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the department. You will build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external business customers to contribute to the attainment of sales goals and participate in developing the annual sales plan in order to positively impact sale strategy as it relates to a strong community sales presence.

Required skills and experience include 4+ years' related experience or a Bachelor's degree. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered. 2 years of sales experience, MN Resident Producer License in the lines of Life & Health/Accident, creativity, innovation, and excellent interpersonal skills are required. Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision, ability to organize, prioritize and follow through on sales process steps, proven oral and written communication skills, strong presentation skills, positive attitude with the desire to embrace and promote teamwork, and required to have and maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance or access to reliable transportation. Travel as needed. High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S. are preferred.

Compensation and benefits: Pay Range: $69,000.00 - $72,000.00 - $75,000.00 Annual + Commission. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
