Job Opportunity At Legrand

Thank you for your interest in becoming part of the team at Legrand! This distributor account manager is responsible for managing assigned distribution customer. This role will drive sales revenue through developing relationships and uncovering opportunities. The successful candidate will understand audio video applications, which include products within the Legrand AV portfolio. The position will place emphasis on building long-term relationships, identifying new opportunities and being aware of emerging audio video trends.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities within assigned distributor
  • Guide and collaborate with business development employees to achieve assigned sales objective
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in Salesforce.com
  • Create customer plan to execute against broader Legrand AV strategy
  • Coordinate additional Legrand AV resources, such as Marketing, Technical Support, Customer Support, and Finance
  • Effectively present information to the management team
  • Advise distributor on policies and operating procedures to ensure smooth operations between companies
  • Manage inventory levels and provide product recommendations
  • Demonstrate our core values of Customer, People, Integrity, Teamwork, Continuous Learning & Improvement, and Empowerment & Accountability

Job Requirements:

  • Relationship Building: Engages and establishes trust with key stakeholders across distributor's organization
  • Account Coordination: Understands distribution, thinking strategically about tactical account planning
  • Analytical proficiency: Ability to manage data on spreadsheets and use PowerBI to harvest sales trends
  • Problem Solving: Able to address problems and coordinate appropriate resources
  • Ability to interpret standards, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to be customer focused and responsive to questions and needs
  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with company standards, practices and policies
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several projects through completion at one time while maintaining high attention to detail
  • Must possess a high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
  • Possesses a baseline of product acumen for brands; C2G, Chief, Da-Lite, MAP, Luxul, On-Q, Sanus, and Vaddio
  • Must be comfortable to work and navigate within complex and matrixed businesses

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or other related technical degree with 3-5 years sales experience or any appropriate combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with specific geographical-based markets in which the position resides
  • Experience using SalesForce.com, Power Bi platform, and can show proficiency with Excel
  • Previous work experience in areas relevant to the assigned technology

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for the majority of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a keyboard
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • General (home) office and field sales environment
  • Requires in office presence with a minimum of 3 days per week
  • Requires regular ground travel to other company facilities
  • Long-distance or air travel as needed - 50-75%
