Position Information: The Regional Sales Director reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Business Development and is primarily responsible for executing the strategic sales program for Miller Manufacturing in the channels of business they have been assigned. Their role is to thoroughly understand the competitive landscape and the needs of each customer in their region by maximizing the mix of products sold and market share gains available within the region. This will be accomplished by making sales calls and establishing an excellent rapport with our customers, outside Manufacturer Sales Rep firms and sales staff. Responsibilities include producing accurate monthly sales forecasts for all products at margins that have been pre-determined by management, setting and meeting the goals and objectives of the Miller Manufacturing Department, and building a solid reputation for Miller Manufacturing within the Farm, Ranch, & Pet Industry.
Responsibilities include: + Travel to customers', sales reps', and prospects' locations, as well as actively participating in customer and industry trade shows and events to achieve sales goals. Ensure timely and thorough completion of trip reports for assigned district, including follow-up on all action items identified and stored to allow for easy access in the future. + Build and maintain strong customer and outside rep relationships, reaching deep into our sales channels and encouraging active participation from all levels to improve our brand distribution positions + Develop strategic key customer business plans and lead the coordination of assigned team members, support resources, etc. in execution of plans to maximize market penetration, sales, and customer support, while balancing strong margin performance. + Develop and leverage business and field intelligence to identify trends and develop strategies to meet goals through product mix, margin management, new opportunity pursuit, etc. and plan/execute accordingly. Both utilize and manage rep participation in the Hub Spot CRM to include customer information and sales call results and follow up. + Produce and adjust monthly forecasted sales for your region to achieve targeted forecast to actual sales of +/- 10% accuracy and at margins that have been determined by management and the CEO, setting and meeting the goals and objectives of Miller Manufacturing and the Sales department. Actively participate in a monthly, logic-based, forecast process to project expected sales volume for existing and new products. + Evaluate company pricing, promotions and freight programs to achieve targeted sales and NOI goals. Make recommendations to Senior Management and the CEO, when necessary. + Develop show programs, advertising, and trade show budgets for assigned territory, monitor budgets closely, report on the results and take corrective action when needed to ensure profitable sales increases meeting NOI targets.
• Requires a bachelor's degree plus three to five years of related experience and/ or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. • This position also requires at least three years of experience using an ERP Database• Requires proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite• Training on the job may be required.
Job Type: Full-time, Salaried, Exempt Pay Range: $90,000 - $120,000 Annual Base PayBase pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job. Please note that we do not typically hire at the top of our range. In addition to base pay, our sales incentive program offers a generous monthly payout that reflects both individual sales performance and the company's financial results from the prior month.
