Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Freight/Trucking Salesperson to join our logistics team. This role is responsible for generating new business, maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth by selling freight transportation services to businesses across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and lead generation.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, manufacturers, and distributors to understand their freight needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand market share.
  • Quotation & Negotiation: Prepare freight quotes, negotiate rates, and close deals while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to position services effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with dispatchers, operations, and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments and high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of transportation modes (LTL, FTL, intermodal, etc.) Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively CRM and sales tracking software proficiency High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred
