The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Analyst to support our Public Sector business unit across all areas of Operating Expenses (OPEX). This role will report directly to the Manager of OPEX and serve as a key finance partner to Public Sector teams, including Sales and Operations. The analyst will be responsible for delivering insights and reporting that drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
The Main Responsibilities
- Partner with Public Sector Sales and Operations teams to deliver actionable OPEX insights and reporting.
- Own monthly forecasting and budgeting processes for commissions, direct labor, and operational expenses.
- Develop and maintain productivity models and capacity planning frameworks to support headcount and resource allocation decisions.
- Track and analyze capitalized labor costs, ensuring accurate reporting and alignment with capital governance policies.
- Support ERP and SAC system transitions related to OPEX and capitalized labor tracking.
- Prepare and present financial performance updates to Public Sector business unit leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, HR, and IT to ensure data integrity and process alignment.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a public sector or enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of OPEX categories including commissions, productivity, and capitalized labor.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with demonstrated ability to create compelling presentations using PowerPoint.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience in financial modeling; proficiency in pivot tables, lookups, and scenario analysis.
- Experience with SAP, SAC, and time-tracking systems (e.g., Clarity, WFS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI tools and applications in finance is a strong advantage.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting public sector finance teams.
- Familiarity with capital governance frameworks and cost center reporting.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors Location Based Pay Ranges: $82,969 - $110,625 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY. $87,117 - $116,156 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI. $91,266 - $121,688 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA
