MUFG Bank is seeking for a Vice President for Financial Institutions Sales within their Global Markets Division in Hong Kong. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a respected organization renowned for its commitment to delivering outstanding client service and fostering a supportive, inclusive workplace. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of promoting a comprehensive suite of market products and services—including Foreign Exchange, Derivatives and FICC—to both bank and securities clients. You will work closely with Relationship Managers to develop new business, nurture existing relationships, and ensure the highest standards of product delivery. The organization values flexibility, professional growth, and collaboration, offering you the chance to make a significant impact while enjoying access to ongoing training and development opportunities. If you are passionate about financial markets, thrive in a team-oriented environment, and are eager to contribute to a culture that prioritizes integrity and respect, this could be your next career move.

  • Play a key role in driving revenue growth by promoting market-leading FX, Derivatives and FICC solutions to an established portfolio of corporate banking clients as well as developing new business opportunities.
  • Enjoy a collaborative culture where your ability to build strong stakeholder relationships—both internally across departments and externally with clients—is highly valued and supported by ongoing training initiatives.
  • Benefit from working in an environment that places great emphasis on regulatory compliance, ethical conduct, and continuous professional development, ensuring your long-term success and career progression.

As Vice President, Financial Institutions Sales – Global Markets Division, you will play an integral part in expanding the reach of market products such as FX, Derivatives and FICC among banking and securities clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve partnering with Relationship Managers to identify new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships through expert advice on market trends. You will be instrumental in supporting cross-departmental initiatives by providing timely market intelligence and ensuring all activities comply with stringent regulatory standards. Success in this role requires you to prepare detailed reports for senior management, collaborate effectively across teams for smooth transaction processing, and design bespoke marketing materials that resonate with client needs. Your ability to deliver extraordinary service will not only enhance client satisfaction but also reinforce the organization's standing as a trusted partner in global markets.

  • Utilize your deep knowledge of financial markets and products to conduct effective marketing activities, including providing insightful updates on macroeconomic indicators to clients.
  • Support various departments by sharing market-related information, detailed product specifications, operational procedures, and insights into client demand for specific products.
  • Ensure all marketing activities adhere strictly to external regulations as well as internal policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
  • Assist in the development and regular updating of departmental policies to maintain alignment with evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for department heads and local management, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Drive sales performance by achieving assigned revenue targets alongside other non-financial key performance indicators through effective relationship management.
  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal stakeholders and external clients, consistently enhancing the organization's reputation for reliability and excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with multiple departments—including Operations—to facilitate seamless transaction execution for clients.
  • Develop robust stakeholder management strategies with key contacts both within the organization and externally to foster trust-based partnerships.
  • Create compelling marketing materials and innovative trade ideas tailored to meet diverse client needs.

To excel as Vice President, Financial Institutions Sales – Global Markets Division, you will bring substantial experience from within the financial sector—ideally gained at another major bank or similar institution—where you have developed a nuanced understanding of both product offerings and competitive dynamics. Your background should include hands-on involvement with FX, Derivatives and FICC solutions as well as exposure to regulatory frameworks governing these activities. You will possess refined communication abilities that allow you to explain intricate concepts simply while building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Your approach is grounded in empathy, dependability, and a genuine desire to support others' success—whether collaborating across teams or guiding less experienced colleagues through complex processes. A keen awareness of industry trends combined with your dedication to continuous learning ensures you remain at the forefront of best practices in compliance, risk mitigation, and customer engagement.

  • Demonstrated experience within the financial services industry with a thorough understanding of competitor offerings in the marketplace.
  • Excellent communication skills that enable you to influence stakeholders positively while presenting complex products clearly.
  • Comprehensive expertise in financial instruments including—but not limited to— FX, Derivatives and FICC products.
  • Proven ability to interpret local regulations accurately in order to mitigate risk during transactional processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that support effective collaboration across departments as well as with external partners.
  • A track record of preparing high-quality marketing materials tailored to diverse client requirements within tight deadlines.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff members or colleagues through regular meetings or training sessions.
  • Commitment to upholding regulatory requirements related to licensing qualifications relevant for the Hong Kong market.
  • Ability to manage pre-trade and post-trade workflows efficiently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail throughout each stage.
