Outside Sales Representative – Northeastern MA, NH and ME

We're looking for an Outside Sales Representative to drive growth in Northeastern Massachusetts by expanding rental and sales of Xylem's products and services. This role combines strong technical knowledge with a customer-focused approach to solve fluid handling challenges and grow our presence in key markets.

What You'll Do:

  • Grow revenue by promoting and selling Xylem products and services.
  • Develop new business and maintain existing accounts through proactive outreach, including cold calling and lead generation.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, proposals, and other documentation.
  • Represent Xylem at trade shows, training sessions, and community events.
  • Support and mentor fellow sales team members as needed.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years in sales or service sales (industrial or wastewater treatment preferred).
  • Experience with high-volume sales and CRM tools (CPQ preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, and motors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the territory.

DAY IN THE LIFE

In this role, the working environment is both in office and visiting customer job sites as well as a shop environment. This position requires the ability to safely and effectively operate a company vehicle for extended periods of time throughout cities, job sites, major highways and interstates (including tunnels and bridges) and in all weather conditions. The standard weekly job hours are 40 hours and the local travel requirement is 50%. This position requires the new hire to lift up to 70 lbs.
