Power-Flo Technologies Moonachie has served the needs of the OEM, Industrial, Commercial, and MRO markets in New Jersey since 1934. We are looking for you to join our collaborative team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: engaging in a minimum of 20 cold calls per week via phone or in person, engaging in decision maker contact 10 times per week at a minimum, having a minimum of 20 appointments per week, self-sourcing 80% of their own leads, identifying opportunities at existing and potential new customers within defined geographical areas, generating, qualifying and managing all sales leads, prospects and new customer accounts, going out of state for factor training which will include at times air travel, and managing supplier relationships. This will include collaboration with suppliers, pricing negotiations with both customers and key suppliers.
Qualifications include but are not limited to the following: 3 years of successful outside sales experience in industrial or commercial fields, knowledge of Industrial Electrical and Mechanical a plus, good Mechanical Aptitude, 3 years of experience with preparation of proposals, delivering presentations, preparing call reports and working with factory representatives, tenacity and inner drive/confidence to successfully overcome objections and outright denials to allow for a successful sale despite the challenging marketplace, willingness to commit the required time to acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the benefits of the company's products and services and to also remain constantly up to date with new developments, experience with selection and sizing of electrical controls, variable frequency drives, DC drives, motors, PLC control systems, operators, switches, etc. is helpful, capability of operating with a minimum of supervision, strong problem-solving skills, strong computer skills and strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work the hours required to exceed sales goals, address customer concerns etc. Valid and clean Driver’s License. Salary commensurate with experience ($65,000 - $95,000 draw against commission).
