The Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving year over year Volume and DGP growth for BCS products. This role drives the BCD sales strategy across targeted products and markets to profitably grow an assigned territory or customer portfolio. A key focus will be developing new customers and expanding business with existing accounts, particularly in support of a new Chlor Alkali product stream.

What You'll Do:

  • Actively manage a territory and interact with key internal and external business associates including their Sales Director, Product Management, other Verticals and the Shared Service (Customer Service/Ops) team to efficiently and effectively support and fulfill our customer needs.
  • Sells deep into accounts by developing multiple contacts at various levels of management and functional groups.
  • Sell the Univar Value Proposition
  • Ensures prospects and customers are properly qualified, including safety and environmental performance, and financial worthiness.
  • Maintains adequate pipeline to ensure Churn (new business vs. lost business) outperforms territory goals.
  • Uses discretion with company funds for entertainment and travel as outlined in the Company Travel and Expense policy.
  • Ability to identify, aggregate and report on all BCD product opportunities.
  • Owns and completes Annual Volume and DGP goals.
  • Is focused on marketing volume of regional Chlor Alkali plants.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience
  • In-depth knowledge of chemical distribution business
  • Minimum 10 year sales and marketing experience, preferably in chlor-alkali and/or sulfur markets
  • Demonstrated success driving sales growth
  • Expert relationship builder both externally and internally.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration
  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written.
