Sales Manager

The sales manager is responsible for developing and driving the sales strategy and programs for his/her region in line with our NBS Next growth framework and the divisional strategy. The focus and responsibility of this role is to create profitable growth by identifying customer needs and fulfilling these needs by providing outstanding customer solutions and services. The successful postholder has a convincing personality with strong analytical and management skills as well as sales dedication for technical solutions combined with a strong customer passion. Provide leadership and coaching in all areas of the NBS Next framework and Customer Management.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive all sales activities and create profitable growth for sales region
  • Develop sales and aftermarket strategies to better serve our customers and attract new customers
  • Deployment of NBS Next to achieve profitable growth targets
  • Manage sales and service activities, contract performance, complaints, resolutions or mediation processes
  • Acquisition of orders in the aftermarket business
  • Responsible for top customer management and development
  • Owns reporting to track all sales metrics and pipeline management
  • Continuous analysis of market and customer data as well as customer needs to optimize aftermarket activities
  • Maintains granular understanding of top account's requirements, trends, risks, opportunities and satisfaction level
  • Intensive partnership at all levels with key account and internal resources to identify customer needs and trends at an early stage to create business opportunities
  • Work cross functionally with engineering, manufacturing to help with customer opportunities, resolve issues, planning, etc.
  • Work closely with marketing and communication to support development of sales strategies, tools and tactics to drive sales
  • Support and pro-actively enable sales activities, help to facilitate or open sales opportunities
  • Set best in class examples for sales team in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits
  • Develop an agile winning team, capable of meeting the future expectations of our customers
  • Coaching team members in all relevant aspects of NBS Next, product knowledge, sales and personal skills

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration
  • 10+ years experience and deep understanding in sales and key account management within industry
  • Experience and proven track record with top customer/contract negotiations
  • 5+ leadership experience and track record of developing high-performing teams
  • Willingness to travel and work with international teams of professionals
  • Must be fluent in English, both written and oral

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Portuguese and English)
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Strong selling skills required to identify and close opportunities
  • Extensive business to business sales/distribution experience
  • Strong customer passion
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and business skills
