Basic Job Functions:

The role of the District Sales Manager is to lead the sales and marketing efforts for The Nucor Plate Group in the Mid-Atlantic territory and provide support in taking care of our customers. This position will require extensive travel. The successful candidate will be responsible for quoting and securing business, spot and contract, providing forecasts, and recommending new business and customers. Supporting the Plate Group and Nucor Enterprise's strategic growth initiatives are essential. Nucor teammates are expected to participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to relocate
  • Four-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Four years of steel sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field
  • Steel plate sales experience
