Skills and competencies:

  • 4+ years' experience working in direct business-to-business sales roles with a focus on serving Corporate & Professional Services segments (e.g. Technology Media & Telecom, Industrial, Consumers, Professional Services, Energy, Life Sciences, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of different parts of the Corporate & Professional Services industries (one or more of the above), including market dynamics and customers' business drivers.
  • Ability to present high-level information as well as detailed demonstrations of products & services.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex sales cycles to successful conclusion through use of consultative selling techniques.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact with senior executives both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with focus and high attention to detail.

Education:

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (Bachelor's degree) required - coursework in business, economics, finance, marketing or related fields a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with sales colleagues and other internal stakeholders to identify new logo opportunities for Corporate customers and drive the sales process for a set of complex products or services.
  • Identifying and qualifying prospects, initiating new sales activity and managing sales cycles to closure.
  • Assessing client needs and providing clients with specific strategic guidance and product overviews.
  • Building and executing on sales strategies to meet or exceed annual sales goals and targets.
  • Partnering with Product Specialists, Industry Practice Leads, and Solution Specialists to develop clear, concise proposals and deliver targeted demos to prospective customers.
  • Collaborating with Product Management and Product Strategy to promote improvement in product quality and the development of new sources of revenue.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective clients by identifying gaps and recommending solutions leveraging market and technical knowledge.
  • Providing insightful and client-specific customer service and product overviews.
  • Acting as the market expert and providing product/service use cases during the sales cycle.
  • Serving as the main liaison between the client service team, the client and the implementation services organization on each services opportunity before handing off to Customer Success Managers.
  • Coordinating Moody's Analytics responses to requests for product and services information from prospects in the Corporate & Professional Services segments.
  • Representing company at industry and company sponsored events, as required.
  • Serving as functional and market expert to resolve client issues through the use of interpersonal skills.
  • Assisting in the preparation and circulation of market insight to create awareness of Moody's expertise internally and externally.
  • Leveraging AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline processes, and drive innovation within the role and across Moody's.
  • Assisting in the training of new team members.
  • Providing current forecasts and pipeline information to management.
  • Position requires travel (approximately 20% to 40% of your time).

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $93,600.00-$135,750.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
