About The Role And Program
Platform Distribution negotiates the business, economic, technology, product, data, and advertising terms that drive distribution of The Walt Disney Company's content across a wide range of partners. This includes global direct-to-consumer services (Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu), linear TV channels (ABC, Disney Junior, ESPN, Freeform, National Geographic, etc.), theatrical films, Free Ad-Supported Streaming (FAST) channels, other ad-supported video offerings, ABC News, and audio streaming content. The individual must possess organizational, communication and analytical skills, an interest in the media & entertainment business as well as an initiative-taking mindset. Above all, they must think big, learn quickly, and approach every challenge with enthusiasm.
What You Will Do:
- Assist with the various stages of the distribution lifecycle, including partner engagement, deal execution, audience growth strategies, performance reporting, and development of sales and partnership presentations.
- Assist with business updates based on account activity and the needs of the team.
- Help create, maintain, and refresh team documents and trackers.
- Assist in projects related to team objectives
- Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, legal, marketing, operations) in partnership support.
- Account negotiation and executive material prep
Required Experience/Skills:
- A desire to learn the intricacies of the entertainment business, including components of advertising, technology, finance, and law.
- A general understanding of the media landscape, including competitors and industry trends.
- Strong organization skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in the Microsoft product suite (SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Education:
- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Major or previous coursework in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or other related major preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
- Availability for the duration of the internship in New York City: June – August 2026
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- Fully available from Monday – Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week (if applicable)
- Able to provide own transportation and housing for the duration of the internship program.
- The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
