Catering Sales Manager

We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Catering Sales Manager to join our sales team. This position focuses on selling, planning, and executing catering events, meetings, banquets, and social functions. The ideal candidate is a hospitality sales professional with experience in event planning, F&B operations, and client relationship management, who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solicit and secure catering business through proactive sales calls, networking, and client prospecting.
  • Manage catering sales from initial inquiry to contract signing, event planning, and final execution.
  • Partner with the Banquets, Culinary, and Operations teams to ensure flawless event delivery.
  • Build strong client relationships to generate repeat business and referrals.
  • Develop creative proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Achieve or exceed individual catering revenue goals and contribute to overall hotel sales objectives.
  • Maintain accurate catering sales activities, contracts, and client details in Marriott/CRM systems.

Required:

  • 2+ years of catering sales, event planning, or hotel sales experience
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field
  • Experience with Marriott sales systems (CI/TY, SalesForce, OneSource)
  • Knowledge of Somerset/New Brunswick corporate and social event markets
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/other)
  • Prior experience in food & beverage operations or banquet sales

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range: Starting at $60,000/year and up (based on experience)
