Sales Representative

Job Summary: The Sales Representative role is an entry-level quota-carrying sales position responsible for developing and converting Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) into new business opportunities. This role is designed for individuals with minimal sales experience who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to revenue generation. The Sales Representative will proactively build pipeline through outreach, qualify opportunities through discovery conversations, and close smaller deals independently while progressing toward more complex sales opportunities. The primary purpose of this position is to create and progress new opportunities that lead to revenue growth for Arctic IT's Microsoft Cloud Solution offerings, including Dynamics 365 (Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Power Platform, etc.). Opportunities the Sales Representative will pursue will be at the discretion of the Director of Business Applications Sales, with the goal of providing equal opportunity to hit quota attainment with other Sales professionals. Compensation is base salary plus incentive, tied to SQL generation and quota attainment.

Responsibilities: Essential Functions

  • Meet and exceed assigned sales quota through the conversion of qualified leads into closed opportunities.
  • Prospect for new clients within target markets using outbound and inbound techniques such as calls, emails, LinkedIn, webinars, and events.
  • Qualify inbound leads to ensure they meet criteria for a sales opportunity and conduct introductory discovery calls.
  • Nurture leads through early sales stages and develop trusted relationships with potential clients.
  • Manage and maintain accurate pipeline data in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales (CRM), including leads, opportunities, and communications.
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns to generate and nurture leads.
  • Present Arctic IT's solutions and value propositions in a clear, professional manner.
  • Participate in proposal and demo preparation with internal resources to help advance deals.
  • Represent Arctic IT at virtual and in-person events to promote solutions and generate leads.
  • Maintain awareness of Arctic IT's products, services, and target markets.
  • Continuously improve sales skills through coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated to achieve and exceed SQL and quota attainment.
  • Demonstrated ability to qualify prospects and manage a structured sales process.
  • Comfortable conducting phone and video conversations with prospects.
  • Technically curious and able to learn complex software concepts quickly.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with Sales Executives, Marketing, and Delivery.
  • Demonstrates persistence, curiosity, and active listening in prospect interactions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or related discipline preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, inside sales, business development, or a customer-facing role.
  • Experience working with CRM systems (Dynamics 365 for Sales preferred).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Cloud or Business Applications is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed lead generation or sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be eligible for background check, drug testing, and security clearance requirements.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable personal vehicle.

Working Environment

The majority of work for this role is performed in a home office and interacts with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities. Telecommuters are expected to have sufficient home office space that appears neat, organized, and professional when attending video meetings. Travel is required and varies around 50%.
