In France, Octopus Energy Services started its activity in 2024, with a clear objective: to help individuals reduce their energy bills while actively participating in the energy transition.
We have opened our first warehouse in Amiens, a true operational base for our technical teams, with the ambition to deploy our know-how throughout the French territory. A second warehouse has also been established in Orléans!

Octopus Energy Services France is the growing group’s subsidiary dedicated to the installation of solar panels, batteries, and electric vehicle charging stations (IRVE) for individuals. To support its development, we are looking for a Solar Sales Manager for our new team of Business Developers based in Lille.
Job Description:
Your main mission will be the creation and management of the Business Developers team based in Lille. The Business Developers at Octopus Energy Services support customers in the ideal sizing of their photovoltaic panel installation, battery, and electric vehicle charging station up to the signing of the quote. A team of Business Developers is currently based in Paris: you will therefore have the task of constituting a new team of business developers in Lille.
You will be reporting to Antoine, Sales Manager. A 2-month in-person training (4 days/week) in Paris is expected (including among other things the activities of Business Developers) before the effective start of the position.
Your main missions:
1. Management and animation of the team:
- Participate in the recruitment, integration, and training of the new Lille team
- Motivate, coach, and support the Business Developers in achieving their objectives and in their skill development
- Organize team meetings to share performances, best practices, and news
- Animate the team through activities, outings, lunches, and others to maintain a strong cohesion
- Identify and report the needs of the team
2. Commercial performance management:
- Set individual and collective objectives in line with the commercial strategy
- Follow the key performance indicators / KPIs (conversion rate, number of generated deals, number of calls, etc.) and evaluate the performance of the team
- Contribute to the optimization of sales processes and tools
- Work in synergy with other departments (technical, operations, etc.) to streamline exchanges and align strategies
Profile:
Experience and skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales
- Previous experience in management or leadership of a commercial team is highly desirable
Leadership and communication:
- Ability to motivate and rally a team around common and individual objectives
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Technical skills:
- Good mastery of digital tools, CRM, and reporting
- Knowledge of the renewable energy sector or marked interest in the energy transition
Personal qualities:
- Proactivity and autonomy
- Sense of organization, with the ability to anticipate challenges and propose effective solutions
