We are seeking a Community Outreach Liaison to join our team in Pasadena, CA. Just steps away from Historic Route 66, Clearview Outpatient – Pasadena is easily accessible from the 210, 134, and 110 freeways and is in close proximity to metropolitan Los Angeles, Burbank, Glendale, and all of the San Gabriel Valley. Clearview Outpatient: Pasadena utilizes a combination of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and experiential therapies to meet the individual needs of each client we treat.

Compensation Range: $75,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience, level, and location)

How You Will Contribute

The Community Outreach Liaison connects clinical partners, clients and families to appropriate clinical resources. The position serves as a liaison and partner to help educate communities, providers, clients and families about mental health treatment services. The Community Outreach Liaison supports local admissions acting as a concierge welcoming incoming clients, families, and clinical partners to the facility.

Relationships and Contacts

Within the organization: Maintains frequent and close working relationships with clients and families, facility and national leadership teams, and peers throughout the organization.

Outside the organization: Initiates and maintains strong professional relationships with clinical providers, referral partners and vendors, as needed.

Position Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Collaborates with local and national leadership team members to identify and cultivate strong community partnerships, elevating the facility's presence in the local market.
  2. Target follow-up meetings with all key referral sources ensuring internal and external obstacles to growth and retention are identified, minimized, and/or eliminated.
  3. Schedules and conducts tours with referral sources, clients and families.
  4. Communicates various levels of care to potential clients, families, and referral sources.
  5. Guides clients and families toward appropriate treatment options, effectively highlighting the benefits of treatment at Clearview in relation to the clients individual needs and circumstances;
    • Obtains necessary information to quickly determine viability of potential admission,
    • Resolves challenges posed by clients and families ambivalent about committing to necessary and beneficial treatment options,
    • Empathically but prescriptively leading callers to the next step of deciding on admission,
    • Determines the clinical and financial viability of potential admissions,
    • Articulates the value and fit of facility programming to each potential clients circumstances and needs.
  6. Utilizes appropriate bonding techniques to establish rapport, build relationships, and enhance customer service and support.
  7. Offers a high level of customer service and communication to referral sources, clients and families.
  8. Partners with admissions decision-makers and stakeholders including client, family members, professional referral sources, facility administration, clinical leadership, admitting physicians and utilization review coordinators.
  9. Coordinates with the business office and Utilization Review to determine financing options for potential clients.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Functions within the guidelines of the facility's Code of Ethics and in accordance with corporate compliance.
  2. Follows established principles of call flow and follow up processes.
  3. Assists in promoting and ensuring the organizations mission, goals and objectives are understood and actively supported by the employees.
  4. Completes all necessary paperwork, record keeping, and reporting related to the admissions process.
  5. Completes follow-up activities in an appropriate and timely manner.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience: Position requires a bachelor's degree, a master's degree preferred, and 2+ years of related experience in clinical admissions and business development in a healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Requirements

  • Clearance of TB test, fingerprinting and state clearance, and any other mandatory state/federal requirements
  • A valid Driver's license and a generally clean driving record are required. Employees may be required to drive personal or company vehicles.
  • State licensing DHS and DSS prohibit individuals with specific criminal charges, conducted by Livescan fingerprint checks. Exemptions offered.

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against companies of similar size within the behavioral healthcare industry. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
