Regional Sales Manager

Wieland is hiring a Regional Sales Manager. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for strategic account management and related sales activities within the specified geographic region providing excellence in sales and support to area customers with a strong emphasis on generating new leads for existing core products and Wieland Chase EZ-Melt Ingot products. This role will be fully remote with travel to territories in the Central & Eastern U.S.

Responsibilities

Regional Sales Manager Responsibilities (Mill Products):

  • Provide sales coverage and strategic account management for the Eastern US Mill and Nationally for Ingot EZ-Melt products.
  • Enhance and maintain strong customer relations of existing area accounts through personal visitation and regular communication.
  • Identify and pursue new sales leads for "Core" Wieland Chase products and specialty brass products to include Green Portfolio brass rod, Forgeworks forged, machined, cut to length products, and Wieland Imported Specialty products.
  • Provide regular, timely and concise customer reports on customer activity and updates for our Alloy Forecast System.
  • Work closely with inside sales, quality and supply chain contacts, support customer relationships and to provide a high level of service and responsiveness.
  • Monitor pricing competitiveness, establish and execute supply contracts, maintain oversight of customer scrap return percentages and current credit.
  • Provide both strategic and tactical insight and recommendations to Wieland Chase management with the goal of increasing sales and profitability for the organization.

Regional Sales Manager Responsibilities (EZ-Melt Ingot Products):

  • Develop and grow Wieland Chase ingot market sales.
  • Provide strategic account management in the North American territory.
  • Identify and pursue new markets and sales leads for core Wieland Chase EZ-MELT ingot products.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Enhance / maintain strong customer relations of existing through personal visitation and regular communication.
  • Develop and provide product comparison charts and tools.
  • Monitor pricing competitiveness, establish and execute supply contracts, maintain oversight of customers.
  • Provide regular, timely and concise reports on market activity and updates.
  • Work closely with inside sales, quality, and supply chain, to provide a high level of service and responsiveness.
  • Provide both strategic and tactical insight and recommendations to Wieland Chase management with the goal of increasing sales and profitability for the organization.

Qualifications

BS/BA preferred or equivalent experience. Knowledge of copper-based metals or related metal or technical processes preferred. Must be willing to provide extensive travel within the sales region, which includes some overnight stays, evening entertainment and be willing to participate in various tradeshows and sponsored events.
