Overview

Responsible for developing and maintaining outside sales activities and general business relationships with customers within a designated territory.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop new and maintain existing customer relationships.
  2. Identify and implement margin opportunities with existing accounts.
  3. Support internal and external customers, resolving issues that arise on a timely basis.
  4. Retain and maintain profitable accounts within established pricing guidelines.
  5. Participate in sales and purchasing activities within the aluminum group.
  6. All other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of seven years of experience in aluminum scrap pricing, material identification, costs, operations, finance, and transportation.
  • Blending knowledge and experience is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to generate and close deals.
  • Flexible schedule, as approximately 50-75% of travel is required. With the ability to travel impromptu when the occasions arise.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and JD Edwards.
  • College degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
