Task Force Sales Manager

The Task Force Sales Manager will play a critical role in supporting the properties during transitional periods, special projects, or peak demand. This position is responsible for driving immediate revenue opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and executing effective sales strategies. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, adapts quickly to new teams and systems, and consistently exceeds performance expectations.

What Will You Do?

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Respond promptly to all incoming group inquiries. Evaluate potential business to ensure alignment with hotel revenue and profitability goals. Book all business within hotel parameters, following brand and departmental guidelines.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and execute contracts and other booking documentation, ensuring all terms are clearly defined and in compliance with hotel policy, terms, and conditions.
  • Maintain thorough account files, sales activity tracking, and accurate data entry in the CRM and PMS systems.
  • Serve the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a relationship and loyalty to the company.
  • Gains understanding of the property's primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, offering better business solutions both prior to, and during the program/event.
  • Closely works with communicating to all departments; reservations, revenue, operations, housekeeping, engineering, and residential teams to ensure seamless customer experiences and coordinated efforts.
  • Adheres to established goals and objectives, reporting guidelines consistently, completing all projects assigned in an accurate and thorough manner.
  • Monitor sales data, identify trends, and provide regular, detailed reports and updates to senior management on progress and challenges.
  • Strengthen and build relationships with assigned accounts through sales visits, client entertainment (on and off property events), and site inspections, with repeated follow-up.
  • Participate in sales calls, GRC, and forecast meetings to acquire new business and/or close on business.
  • Manages guest concerns and resolves as appropriate consulting with appropriate departments.
  • Meets with guests during pre-and post-convention meetings to obtain feedback on quality of products (e.g., rooms, meeting facilities and equipment, food and beverage), service levels, execution against contract and overall satisfaction.
  • Performs other duties as required.

What You Bring

  • Selling skills, which are at a minimum above the industry average, include but not limited to prospecting, rate and contract negotiating, business planning and cold calls.
  • A minimum of four years' hospitality sales experience
  • A Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management is preferred.
  • Commitment to exceeding guest/client expectations.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including a Hotel PMS (Opera Cloud and HMS a plus), CRM (Tripleseat and ZOHO a plus), Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Power Point.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set daily priorities.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $82,000 / Salary
