Sales Support Analyst

Work with Professional Customer Pricing & Bids Supervisor and Sr. Professional Support Analyst to process & maintain all aspects of monthly, quarterly and annual sales support programs (rebates). Responsible for sales tracking, system maintenance and internal profit reporting as it pertains to national, regional or program specific customers for all sales support rebates. Analysis of current and future professional support programs for profitability.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work directly with Sr. Sales Support Analyst to prepare, maintain and process sales support programs.
  • Prepare internal and external reporting of sales support programs.
  • Review support program performance and allocation of payments with Professional Customer Pricing Manager and Sr. Sales Support Analyst on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis:
  • Major Professional Accounts
  • National/Regional Accounts
  • Limited rebates for a specified time period
  • Work closely with field management to generate customized reporting for the field and work with Sr. Sales Support Analyst to review sales productivity and profitability.
  • Collect information pertaining to primary competitors in key markets and analyze their professional support programs.
  • Analyze professional customer(s) sales and profits and make recommendations for support programs.
  • Work with National Accounts (Sales) team on tracking attributes in Lawson as pertains to multi-location professional customers, national, regional and special installer accounts, and assist with detailed reporting pertaining to sales support programs.
  • Customer account changes including pricing, tracking, customer type, etc.
  • Interact with credit department addressing past dues as it pertains to rebate eligibility.
  • Evaluate sales trends and records as pertains to professional customers.
  • Analyze current and future potential professional customer support programs.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with Excel and Word software programs
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • General accounting knowledge
  • Manage workload consisting of multiple tasks and frequent deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Accuracy
  • Excellent documentation, communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Ability to process computer data to format and generate reports using Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail, self-starter and the ability to learn independently

Desired:

  • Self-motivated to a high level of achievement, excellent written/verbal communicator, analytical and able to make/recommend decisions in the best interest of O'Reilly
  • BS degree- accounting or business
  • Is committed to any additional training as necessary
  • Advanced skill set using Excel & SQL to perform queries and build comparisons
