The Medical Sales Consultant will serve as the primary contact for LASIK inquiries and consultations. Duties include educating patients, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and assisting with patient care. This position does not require a background in ophthalmology, but rather a background in medical/surgical sales.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting consultation appointments with prospective patients to provide education on services, procedures, and expectations.
• Scheduling for LASIK consultations, LASIK surgery appointments, and post-LASIK refractions.
• Preparing pre-operative charts and maintaining an inventory of marketing materials and informational packets.
• Tracking and following up with patient inquiries.
• Performing any applicable diagnostic tests to assist the physician in determining whether the patient is a candidate for refractive surgery.
• Assisting with pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Assisting with surgeries performed in the laser room.
• Explaining financing options and assisting patients with financing applications.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Performance/Skills Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in medical sales.
• Skilled in maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage inventory and sales reports.
• Thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Education/Certifications/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 minimum years of experience in a medical office setting.

Additional Job Details:

• This role will support Boulder, Erie, and surrounding areas.
• This is a full-time position.
• Compensation for this role will be $27 - $32 an hour based on experience.
• This position is bonus eligible.
