Our client is seeking a Head of Chatting (Sales) to lead and scale a high-performance team responsible for direct message (DM) sales a key driver of creator revenue and long-term fan engagement.
Responsibilities
Maximize Creator Revenue
- Own the monetization strategy across fan DMs including PPVs (pay-per-view offers), upsells, rebills, and bundled promotions.
- Analyze audience segments and tailor strategies for different buyer types (e.g., new subscribers, rebills, high spenders).
- Develop and refine persuasive sales scripts using emotional and psychological triggers that drive conversions.
Lead & Scale the Chat Team
- Hire, train, and manage a team of chat sales representatives, ensuring high performance and adherence to brand voice.
- Build standard operating procedures (SOPs), implement performance tracking systems, and enforce clear sales quotas.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and create incentive programs for top performers.
Optimize Sales Strategy
- Analyze sales data, including ARPPU (average revenue per paying user), CVR (conversion rates), and chat-to-sale ratios.
- Run A/B tests on scripts, message timing, and pricing models to identify the highest-performing strategies.
- Continuously improve chat systems to boost daily revenue and lifetime value (LTV) per customer.
Collaborate Across Teams
- Partner with Marketing and Creator Relations departments to align on audience types, promotions, and messaging cadence.
- Ensure that the sales tone and voice reflect each creator's personality while maintaining a consistent and effective revenue strategy.

- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and act on performance insights.
- Experience building and managing remote, high-performance sales teams.
- Excellent communication, copywriting, and storytelling abilities.
- Comfortable with rapid testing, iteration, and scaling successful systems.
- Tech-savvy with familiarity in CRM tools, dashboards, and sales tracking platforms.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
What Does a Typical Day Look Like?
Each day, the Head of Chatting (Sales) reviews revenue reports to identify which creators, campaigns, and chatters performed best. Based on insights, they adjust scripts, offers, and team targets in real time. They communicate throughout the day with chat sales representatives, reviewing conversations, optimizing tone, and coaching on emotional selling techniques. The day may include running A/B tests on new offers, meeting with marketing leaders to align promotional strategies, and holding performance reviews to recognize top performers or train underperformers.
