Responsible for providing inside sales and technical support for the Industrial Equipment Business Unit. Acts as a liaison between the division and our customers for order management and fulfillment as well as product support. Provides commercial and technical support to resolve customer questions and offer product recommendations. Establishes and maintains close relationships with all relevant internal functions and customer contacts.
Manage daily activities and order management issues to successful resolution while partnering with the sales team. Manage quality issues for returns with assigned authority level. Successfully manage incoming customer inquiries from multiple sources including email, chat, web inquiry, and phone and see them through to full resolution. Guide customers through online content so they can review available tools.
Use SalesForce to manage interactions, leads, opportunities, and contacts. Assist with customer payment deductions within assigned authority level and supporting collections efforts. Exercise immediate judgement using established procedures when interacting with the customer. Learn the product lines and industry-specific tools in order to answer product questions and make recommendations. Negotiate and manage pricing changes in alignment with the business team. Support the sales forecasting process. Execute all account management duties for specifically assigned customers. Act as a back-up to Account Management staff as needed.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other related technical discipline and at least two years of related experience in engineering, sales, or customer support. Prior experience in SAP and/or SalesForce preferred.
