Lead and supervise the regional natural gas sales staff activities that drive profitable sales growth and capture new business opportunities. Focus on growth opportunities within the residential and commercial markets for new construction and conversions. Manage capital and forecasting, along with securing the construction resources necessary to meet the area growth goals. Approve and manage the installation of large new business projects including new construction and conversion main extensions. Grow the distribution system by finding and securing profitable new large commercial and industrial customers.
Supervise the activities of the senior sales representatives, sales representatives, and sales engineers to achieve department customer addition budget goals and ensure profitable new loads are added to the system. Seek and add new large commercial and industrial customers. Manage the design, contracting, approvals, and installation of large commercial and industrial projects. Work with the senior manager business development to manage new business capital for the region. Optimize the allocation of capital, track and forecast new business expenditures and ensure profitable growth. Review regional new business main installations and GOM. Be involved in regional industry/professional, community, and business industry organizations. Act as a media backup to the senior manager -- business development.
Extensive knowledge of UGI tariffs, information systems, and policies desired. Knowledge of UGI project management components including operations practices, environmental policies, right of way policies, and municipal and state permitting. Knowledge of construction methods and practices related to the installation and maintenance of gas distribution equipment, including GOM. Knowledge of UGI's service policies, current rebate programs, and technical knowledge of natural gas equipment. Must have strong communication (both written and oral), negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Organizational and decision-making skills and computer proficiency are a must. Must be self-motivated in pursuing strategies and tasks. Position manages staff in multiple locations and diverse territories.
