Reference #: JR2518717 As a Sales And Use Tax Analyst, you will assist the Sales And Use Tax Team in all areas of US and Canadian transaction tax research, calculation, compliance, and audit. You will use and expand your tax knowledge as you work directly with external consultants, government personnel, and SBU personnel. Overall, PPG is looking for someone who is a team player who is excited to broaden their tax experience. You will work a hybrid work schedule at our Pittsburgh, PA office and report to the Senior Manager, Sales & Use Tax. This is an ideal opportunity to join PPG's Corporate Tax team!

Main Responsibilities:

• Facilitate compliance activities with 3rd party return preparer through their external platform. This includes the management and reconciliation of reporting files and overseeing notices, inquiries and tax bills.
• Prepare miscellaneous transactional tax returns not outsourced, and check requests for outside AP provider.
• Gather and analyze data, information, and documentation for tax compliance, audit/reviews, certificate issuances, and other projects as assigned.
• Help to troubleshoot/perform miscellaneous account reconciliations and journal entries and other tax issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with 1 year of sales and use tax experience required
• Knowledge of corporate and business unit accounting procedures.
• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills, including Excel, Access, and tax research software.
• Knowledge of Alteryx, Exemption Certificate Management, or Vertex/Taxware software experience is preferred.
