New Pig is seeking a confident, outgoing Sales Professional to grow and strengthen customer relationships in the automotive market. This role covers accounts across the United States. Position based onsite in Tipton. Key responsibilities include developing and executing aftermarket sales strategies aligned with product, operations, and distribution goals; building and maintaining strong customer relationships, understanding their products, services, and evolving needs; ensuring customer satisfaction while identifying new business opportunities; resolving complaints and managing all client relations issues; staying current on products and services relevant to customers; supporting sales reps with programs, product offerings, promotions, and marketing initiatives; tracking and reporting on sales, margins, and profitability; managing and expanding 100+ customer partnerships; overseeing and coordinating three manufacturers' representative agencies supporting sales and key accounts; representing the company at tradeshows, delivering training (on-site and virtual), and conducting fieldwork; negotiating pricing, terms, rebates, promotions, and marketing for mutually profitable programs; monitoring product and freight costs to ensure profitability; preparing annual profitability analyses and reports (sales, COGS, freight, rebates, terms, marketing, promotions); maintaining consistent follow-up to advance current and future opportunities; and collaborating across departments to support reseller partners.
Ideal candidate qualifications include proven experience selling to/through the automotive aftermarket (jobbers, retailers, buying groups); willingness to travel 25--35% of the time (typical trips 3-4 days, some weekends required). Work performed in Tipton when not traveling; knowledge of automotive service, garage, heavy-duty, or fleet sectors preferred; proficiency in MS Office; Salesforce experience a plus; success in fast-paced, changing environments; strong communication skills -- energetic, personable, and engaging; self-motivated with a drive to meet goals; and exceptional customer service mindset.
