Sales Executive

We are now looking for a Sales Executive to join our team and help align Phoenix's Cloud Security strategy with our customers' needs.

This role is all about combining technical expertise with clear communication — working with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance and Azure Security solutions to ensure our customers remain protected, compliant, and ready for the future.

What will you be doing?

  • Engage customers in conversations around Cyber Security, Compliance, Governance, and Azure Security, focusing on their business needs and challenges.
  • Position Microsoft Security and Purview solutions with confidence, showing how they can deliver value, replace third-party products where appropriate, or complement existing tools.
  • Highlight the benefits of A5/E5 suites and Azure portfolios, helping customers understand the opportunities to unlock greater value from their investments.
  • Support pre-sales activity by introducing workshops, scoping sessions, or product demonstrations, working alongside technical consultants to bring solutions to life.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Bids, and Technical Teams throughout the sales cycle to create new opportunities and deliver strong customer outcomes.
  • Spot opportunities for Microsoft-funded initiatives (FastTrack, workshops, campaigns) and use them to drive meaningful customer engagement.
  • Promote Phoenix's expertise and thought leadership by contributing to events, webinars, podcasts, and vendor-led activities.

What are we looking for?

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance, A5/E5).
  • Confidence in speaking with different audiences, from IT teams to business leaders.
  • An interest in running or supporting workshops, demonstrations, or customer discussions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with customers and colleagues.
  • Comfort working in a target-driven environment, where success means helping customers stay secure and compliant.
  • Previous exposure to Cyber Security, Compliance, or Modern Workplace solutions (whether in sales, study, or hands-on experience).
  • What we really value is your curiosity, drive, and passion — we'll support you with training, development, and the tools you need to succeed.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills – clear, confident, and adaptable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Highly organised and able to manage workload, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity for technology, especially Microsoft Cloud & Cyber Security.
  • Proactive, determined, and resilient with a strong 'can do' attitude.
  • Experience in sales, IT, or customer-facing roles (helpful, but not essential).

Practical stuff:

Where is the role based? This role can be remote, with occasional visits to our HQ in Pocklington (YO42). What's the interview process? After an initial chat with our Recruitment Team, you'll be invited to a two-stage interview process. As part of this, we'll ask you to create and deliver a short presentation — it's a great opportunity to show us your ideas and how you approach challenges.
