The Sales Manager is a full-time, W-2 exempt position responsible for leading and managing a team (pod) of 12–15 remote Sales Strategists. This leadership role is critical in driving team and individual sales performance, upholding ethical sales standards, and ensuring accountability through strong coaching and mentorship practices. This position requires strategic oversight of sales operations, pipeline management, team development, and process compliance. The Sales Manager will report directly to executive sales leadership and work in close collaboration with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, and operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
- Directly manage, mentor, and support a team of 12–15 remote Sales Strategists.
- Lead daily team meetings (huddles) to align on KPIs, motivation, and pipeline strategies.
- Conduct weekly 1:1 performance coaching sessions and growth check-ins.
- Create personalized development plans based on individual sales rep performance data.
- Build and maintain a high-performance culture focused on accountability, ethical sales, and skill development.
Sales Operations & Oversight
- Monitor and manage individual and pod-level performance through CRM and internal dashboards.
- Ensure all sales activity aligns with assigned quotas and targets.
- Oversee deal structures and approvals to maintain compliance with pricing and ethical standards.
- Identify and resolve sales funnel bottlenecks and conversion delays.
Training, Coaching & Call Reviews
- Conduct real-time and post-call performance reviews using structured scorecards.
- Facilitate weekly group coaching, role-plays, and skill-building sessions.
- Monitor and enforce script adherence and ethical selling practices across the team.
- Provide targeted coaching to improve closing strategies and follow-up effectiveness.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Translate organizational revenue goals into actionable sales plans and frameworks.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to align on funnel performance and sales enablement.
- Monitor metrics such as close rate, order value, and sales velocity to inform strategy adjustments.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, compliance protocols, and legal standards in all sales processes.
- Monitor CRM data integrity, sales documentation, and timely completion of follow-ups.
- Maintain full confidentiality of customer data and ensure practices meet privacy and regulatory requirements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Close Rate: Maintain or exceed 20–25% average team close rate.
- Revenue per Strategist: Each Sales Strategist is expected to meet monthly net revenue benchmarks.
- Script Adherence: ≥90% compliance across call evaluations.
- Touchpoint Compliance: ≥95% timely follow-up and pipeline action completion.
- Onboarding Ramp Time: New reps achieving KPI benchmarks within 30–45 days.
- Team Engagement: >90% attendance in daily huddles, training, and scheduled coaching reviews.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in high-ticket or remote sales settings.
- Proven ability to manage and coach a team of 10+ high-performing sales professionals.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), virtual communication tools, and Google Workspace.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading high-volume, remote sales pods.
- Background in advanced sales methodologies and coaching frameworks.
- Familiarity with compensation models that include draws, bonuses, and commissions.
Work Environment & Requirements:
- Fully remote position; must be physically located in and authorized to work in the United States.
- Standard business hours based on U.S. time zones; occasional evening or weekend hours may be required during peak periods.
- Reliable, high-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional home office environment are required.
- Regular use of video conferencing is expected; occasional travel for team retreats, training, or company events may be required and will be communicated in advance.

Compensation Range: This position is compensated through a combination of base salary and performance-based commission. Compensation includes:
- $150,000 base salary plus unlimited commission potential
- All compensation is subject to applicable federal, state, and local tax withholdings.
