Media Sales Account Executive

As our Media Sales Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving meaningful revenue growth through media and broadcast opportunities. You'll focus on securing both local and national media buys, expanding digital inventory, and creating innovative partnerships. Working closely with our Partnership Development and Partnership Marketing teams, you'll help identify new opportunities, strengthen relationships with current partners, and bring fresh media solutions that support Rip City's connection with fans and the community.
DAY-TO-DAY:
- Drive revenue through the sale of media partnerships, digital inventory, and other opportunities directly to businesses and through agency relationships.
- Build and grow business with both local and national partners.
- Prospect, pitch, and close new media deals while maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.
- Research and identify new partnership opportunities and media sales prospects.
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations to partners and internal stakeholders.
- Cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships with key decision-makers at local and national agencies.
- Collaborate closely with the Partnership Development and Commercial Strategy teams to identify opportunities, share insights, and create innovative sales strategies.
- Support Partnership Development in new partner conversations and the broader revenue team in driving media-related revenue.
- Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the Partnerships team.
WE'D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:
- Have 1 – 2 years of experience in media sales, advertising sales, or partnership development.
- Bring a strong track record of success in television, radio, and digital sales.
- Have proven ability to prospect, pitch, and close new business while maintaining a high level of activity.
- Are skilled at building and articulating conceptual sales ideas and evolving fan engagement assets into full partnership packages.
- Possess excellent selling, presentation, and communication skills with decision-makers at all levels.
- Thrive on building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with partners and agencies.
- Stay current on industry and marketplace trends to inform your sales approach.
- Are self-motivated, goal-oriented, and known for your strong work ethic in high-productivity environments.
WE'D BE THRILLED IF YOU ALSO HAVE:
- Experience in partnership-related sales within sports, entertainment, or live events.
- A thorough understanding of digital and social marketing, with the ability to integrate these into partnership solutions.
- Existing relationships with local or national media buyers and agencies.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and media planning tools.
- A creative mindset and collaborative approach to building impactful partnerships that resonate with fans.
