Sales Manager – Water & Pumping Solutions
We are looking for a Sales Manager – Water & Pumping Solutions to join our team in Poland, with international travel required.
This is a markethunter role, focused on actively developing new business, opening new markets, and winning projects in the water, pumping, and OEM segments.
Key responsibilities – day to day:
- Drive sales growth of cables for submersible and surface pumps, water treatment systems, and water supply infrastructure
- Actively acquire new customers in Poland and international markets
- Develop sales with OEM’s customers with focus on pump manufacturers and pump system integrators.
- Enter new sales channels and countries, building distribution networks from scratch
- Create and manage a strong sales pipeline, including lead generation and forecasting
- Manage project and investment sales (e.g. water supply infrastructure, wastewater treatment plants, irrigation systems)
- Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with customers
- Cooperate closely with technical teams on cable selection and application support
- Support customers on drinking water standards, certifications, and approvals
- Visit customers, participate in trade fairs, and build long term business relationships
Key challenges in this role:
- Opening new markets and customer relationships with limited existing footprint
- Winning project based and investment driven sales in competitive tenders
- Managing technically complex products without being an engineer
- Building credibility quickly with OEMs and infrastructure stakeholders
You are the right fit if you have:
Experience & technical background:
- Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in one of the following industries:
- Pumps and pumping systems
- Water & wastewater infrastructure
- Electrotechnical products or cables
- Valves, fittings, or industrial automation
- Technical or industrial distribution
- Strong advantage if you have experience in:
- OEM sales
- Water, pumping, and OEM segments or tender driven environments
Technical & market understanding:
- Understanding of submersible, sewage, and water pump applications
- Knowledge of water installations and infrastructure requirements
- Familiarity with drinking water certifications and approvals
- Understanding of infrastructure tender processes
Languages:
- Polish – nice to have
- English – minimum B2/C1 (daily working language)
