The Impact You Will Have:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Sales Commissions Analyst to lead complex commission modeling, analysis, and reporting efforts. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving intricate compensation challenges. The analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in commission calculations and systems, supporting strategic initiatives through deep analytical insights.

What you will do:

  1. Design and execute complex commission models to support new compensation plans, quota structures, and incentive programs
  2. Perform in-depth analysis of sales performance, compensation effectiveness, and payout accuracy
  3. Perform root cause analysis on discrepancies and proactively resolve issues with cross-functional teams
  4. Build and maintain complex financial models to simulate the impact of proposed changes to commissions structures, quotas, and territories
  5. Support strategic planning by evaluating incentive effectiveness and forecasting commissions expense
  6. Validate and process monthly commission calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with plan rules
  7. Collaborate with Sales Operations, Finance, and People Services to support compensation-related initiatives and resolve issues
  8. Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to sales leadership and finance teams including performance, attainment, and compensation metrics
  9. Support audits and compliance reviews by maintaining detailed documentation and data integrity
  10. Drive process improvement by identifying automation opportunities and implementing scalable solutions
  11. Mentor junior analysts and serve as a technical resource for complex compensation scenarios

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in sales compensation, financial analysis, or sales operations
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and commission platforms (e.g., Xactly, Varicent, Anaplan)
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred for you to be successful:

  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related discipline
  • Experience with global compensation plans and multi-currency environments
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of incentive plan design principles and performance metrics
  • Exposure to Agile or Lean process improvement methodologies
  • Experience supporting high-growth or enterprise-level sales organizations
