Role and Responsibilities

• Market Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential clients and market opportunities within the renewable energy sector. Help to analyze industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to provide strategic insights.

• Outbound Calling: Initiate outbound calls to prospective clients to introduce our solutions. Develop and execute effective outreach strategies to generate new business leads.

• Lead Qualification: Assess and qualify potential leads based on their needs, budget, and decision-making processes to determine if they are a good fit for our offerings.

• Collaboration with Sales Reps: Work closely with sales representatives to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads. Provide all necessary information and context to support successful conversions.

• CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all prospecting and lead generation activities in the CRM system (Salesforce). Regularly update and manage the project and lead pipeline to ensure data integrity.

• Reporting: Regularly report on key metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and pipeline status. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Required Qualification & Education

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the renewable energy sector.

• Education: Post-secondary degree.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

• Research Skills: Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather and interpret market data to inform business strategies.

• Self-Motivated: Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the renewable energy industry, including key trends, technologies, and market dynamics.

• Passion for Clean Energy: Demonstrated passion for renewable energy and the clean energy transition.

• Travel: Occasional, but not routine.
