General Sales Manager With Rallye Bmw

The Rallye Motor Company, Long Island's premiere luxury automotive group has an opportunity for a General Sales Manager with Rallye BMW. The ideal candidate is looking for a long-term position with an outstanding team, who is able to sell and promote BMW automobile product line while upholding a superior standard for customer service experience as well as employee and retail facility management. Must have the desire to achieve retail facility goals by training, motivating, coaching, and developing expert sales staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise management staff including the New Car Sales Manager, Pre-Owned Sales Manager, and F&I Director.
  • Foster a customer-centered service philosophy and team approach among all employees.
  • Profit and loss responsibility for the front-end (new and pre-owned sales) functions of the retail facility.
  • Support a work environment that ensures a positive customer experience at every step of the purchase and ownership experience.
  • Design and implement cost-effective, market-driven campaigns to promote the BMW retail facility and its quality product line.
  • Sell BMW's product line by promoting BMW standards for superior customer, employee, and retail facility management.
  • Achieve retail facility goals by training, motivating, coaching, and developing expert sales staff.
  • Ensure that customers enjoy the shopping and buying experience by providing professional, timely, and thorough service utilizing up-to-date product and pricing information.
  • Thoroughly train sales specialists and continually upgrade their expertise.
  • Serve as a role model on expert customer dealings. Regularly walk through the retail facility and make contact with customers and employees.
  • Achieve a high level of repeat purchases from existing and new customers. Serve as a role model on expert customer dealings.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers through retail facility surveys, and retail facility sponsored customer events.
  • Achieve high ratings for customer satisfaction per BMW internal customer surveys and by external measurements (industry surveys).
  • Develop and achieve aggressive new car unit sales targets for retail and fleet customers.
  • Attempt to achieve a high ratio of pre-owned vehicle sales to new vehicle sales.
  • Achieve profit goals by developing and meeting target levels of gross profit per unit.
  • Meet F&I penetration goals by actively promoting this service to customers.
  • Develop and implement new programs as needed, including after sales objectives.
  • Increase retail facility business, and BMW market share by developing and implementing effective marketing strategies, advertising, merchandising, promotions, sales contests, and by adopting factory programs.
  • Establish and adjust pricing by monitoring competition, as well as supply and demand.
  • Control costs by setting and achieving budgets, monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action. Oversee and maintain Co-op budget.
  • Plan annual and monthly departmental forecasts, manpower objectives, vehicle inventory, gross objectives, and controllable expenses so that a reasonable profit is attained.
  • Ensure correct handling of sales transactions by properly training and monitoring managers and staff.
  • Ensure regular use of sales prospecting, traffic control, and follow-up systems to increase retailer business.
  • Maintain supply and support systems, including literature, display materials, pricing references, and other materials to adequately promote BMW products and services.
  • Maintain strong relations with manufacturers and suppliers by following all program guidelines, warranties, bulletins, campaigns, etc., and making sure policies do not conflict with BMW practices.
  • Offer balanced and representative new and pre-owned vehicle inventories.
  • Maintain sales volume and product mix by offering balanced and representative new car inventories.
  • Ensure safe & proper maintenance and use of physical resources including exterior display, parking, showroom area, display systems, and demonstrator vehicles.
  • Willing to accept additional or different tasks when circumstances change (e.g., emergencies, changes in personnel, work load, new technologies)
  • Attain IBS at or above the minimum set by dealership.
  • Attain monthly retail center sales goal as determined by management.
