Red Bull UK is currently recruiting for a National Sales Manager - Grocery (South) to be based in the South of the UK. To strategically lead, manage and coach a team of Regional Account Executives to drive availability and sales of Red Bull products through our regional contact strategy with key Grocery customers. You will also ensure that the regional field sales plan is aligned with the Grocery channel strategy and overall GB business plan.
Lead, manage and coach Regional Account Executives in the principles account management and ways of working. This will include the ability to fully utilise the grocery availability data platforms, build an effective contact matrix and execute joint business plans. Continually review and measure team inputs and contributions to overall strategy. Support team to successfully negotiate joint business plans with key regional groups and identify opportunities. Provide ongoing feedback aligned to the 70 (work experience),20 (feedback),10 (formal learning) learning journey. Spend a minimum of day per month with each regional account executive in trade visiting customers. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organisations. Carry out monthly performance check ins and quarterly reviews. Ensure each team member has goals and responsibilities which are set annually and reviewed ongoing. Objectives for new starters to be set by the end of the first 3 months in role. Communicate regularly and effectively with the team, holding regular one to one and team meetings. Engage in all training activities assigned and actively search out ways to improve self and others. Continually motivate the team to be proud of what they do and encourage each other to consistently allow them to be the best version of themselves.
Recruit and retain a highly motivated and driven team who become a "Talent Pool" for the Red Bull channel teams. Communicate and review induction plans and carry out probationary reviews for any new starters. Interview and recruit any vacancies with the people team in line with job budget and agreed timescales.
Ensure we deliver the right frequency of coverage across our Grocery database. Revise frequency where necessary to ensure team are efficient with their journey planning.
Encourage team to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of their interventions with credible case studies and ROI analysis. Use the Grocery data platforms and collaborate with internal functions to ensure teams are working in the most effective way.
FMCG background preferred but not essential Proven regional or national account sales management experience (ideally 5 years +) Sales planning and understanding the customer with strong interpersonal client relationship skills Comfortable analysing data and developing appropriate action plans Cross category working knowledge of commercials such as cash margin and POR essential Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint intermediate level essential Valid UK driving licence
